Revelation of love

It is a revelation of the Father’s love that compels us to be obedient at all costs.  When we realize what we have in Jesus, we do not care to lose anything else.  Our love compels us to forsake all others and have one heart for the Lord.  Even the God-given blessings on this earth fade in comparison to the one who made them, and in hearts of worship we say we give them back to you God.

A Christian who is settled in their identity of who they are and whose they are has no fear.  Perfect love casts out fear.  Could that mean both given and received?  And if we fear nothing, imagine what the Lord could do through us!

No fear of man, no fear of losing anything; not even our lives.  We would be a church that moves by the finger of God as he directs.  Hell would surely tremble before this ground of humanity that cannot be conquered for it is already surrendered and controlled by a greater power.  The greatest power.  We gladly submit to the name that is above every other name, Jesus.

Father, come and do your work in us.  Make us like you.  May your Spirit give us a revelation of your love and tear down the veil that keeps us from seeing your face, the true and unhidden identity of who you are.  In you we are hidden, in you we are found.  Move your church towards yourself. Unleash your army of warriors to fight the spiritual battles in the unseen world. Teach us to pray.  In boldness we cry out to the God of heaven and earth, unify our hearts.  Come Holy Spirit, come!

May we love as perfectly as we can on this side of eternity.  Teach us to love as you love. Pour out your grace to give of ourselves. Wring us out Lord, every drop, until we leave this earth.  Pour out your mercy on your Church.
